UPDATE: THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY! WE RECEIVED ENOUGH GIFT CARDS TO PROVIDE FOR THE STUDENTS FOR BOTH OF OUR ADOPTED SCHOOLS
Two years ago, our school and many of our families were devastated by the Carr Fire. Numerous schools and communities stood with us in our time of need. Now it is our turn to stand with others. Our student council has organized a gift card drive to help fire victims from Talent Elementary School (near Medford, Oregon) where 101 students lost their homes in the Almeda Fire. The drive begins this Monday, September 28th, and runs through Monday, October 26th. We will be accepting gift cards in any amount for stores with locations in the Medford area and/or with online shopping options. Our goal is to provide at least one gift card for every child whose home was lost. Gift cards can be submitted to your child’s teacher or dropped off in the school office. Thank you for your generosity in helping us care for others as we were cared for when we needed it most.
Update: On Sunday, September 27th, our friends in the Igo-Ono area were hit by the Zogg Fire. This community, more than any other, supported us after the Carr Fire, welcoming us onto their campus with open arms. We would like to expand our gift card drive to include support for families from Igo-Ono School who have lost their homes in addition to the families from Talent Elementary.
